• Contact form: everything you enter in the form, including your name, email, subject, message and, for booking enquiries, the event details you provide.
• IP address: held briefly by our spam and rate-limiting protection on the newsletter and contact forms.
• Analytics: information about how you use the site, collected through Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Necessary storage: a cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and a flag in your browser that remembers you have seen the welcome screen.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• Newsletter: to send you emails about new music and shows. Basis: your consent.
• Contact form: to read and respond to your enquiry. Basis: responding to your request.
• Rate limiting: to protect the forms from abuse and spam. Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
• Analytics: to understand visits and improve the site. Basis: your consent.

Services that process your data

• Sender.net — newsletter delivery and subscriber list.
• Resend — delivery of contact form emails.
• Google Analytics — site analytics, only if you accept.
• Upstash — rate limiting of form submissions.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Spotify (music player) — loads only when you press play; Spotify may then set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Your data may be processed outside Nigeria, including in the United States, by these providers.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
• Contact messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
• Rate-limiting records: they expire within minutes.
• Consent cookie: 180 days.

Fan votes

When you vote in a fan vote on this site (for example, choosing a cover):

What we collect.

• your email address;
• the cover you chose;
• the time you voted and the time you confirmed your vote;
• the consent text that was shown to you when you voted;
• a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, which we use only to stop the same person voting twice.

Why we use it. To count your vote once, to prevent fraud, and to add you to our mailing list with your consent.

Lawful basis. Your consent.

How long we keep it.

• Votes you do not confirm are deleted after 24 hours.
• Vote records are deleted 12 months after voting closes.
• Mailing-list membership lasts until you unsubscribe.

Results. Results are shown only as totals, never as individual votes.

Services.

• Resend sends the confirmation email.
• Upstash stores the votes.
• Sender.net holds the mailing list.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• give you access to the personal data we hold about you;
• correct it or delete it;
• stop using it (object to its use);
• give you a portable copy of it.

You can withdraw your consent at any time: change your analytics choice with “Cookie settings” in the site footer, and leave the newsletter with the unsubscribe link in any email. To use any other right, email ojeez.catalog@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
